Master of Electrical Engineering Research Focus Smart Grid/Green Energy

International Master Program in Electrical Engineering, Option Power Engineering with Research Focus Smart Grid/Green Energy is aimed at educating specialist with strong scientific and technological base in the field of modern electricity smart grid that adopts intelligent technology for power system optimization and renewable energy integration.

 

CURRICULLUM
This program can be completed by 4 (four) semesters or less with 36 SKS. In the first year participants will attend the courses at ITB campus, while in the second year, they do thesis research, either at campus of ITB (Program in-country) or overseas partner institution (Out-of-country program), with English as the instruction language.

The program offers specialization in cutting-edge intelligent technology on power grids and renewable energy integration.

The program curriculum is divided into four semesters with 12 credits/semester in the first three semesters and the fourth semester is reserved for thesis extension, especially for Out-of-country Program. The lectures in Semester I focus on advanced scientific aspects of electrical engineering which include advanced engineering mathematics and advanced aspects of power systems. Lectures in Semesters II and III focus on scientific and technological aspects of Smart Grid/Green Energy which include automation, optimization, planning, power system operation and control, DC/FACTS transmission, electromagnetic compatibility, and renewable power generation and renewable integration into power systems as well information systems and management.

LECTURER
The program is supported by a team of lecturers and instructors from ITB, academia and professionals of power industries from national and overseas. They have academic and/or industrial experience for years with at least Master degree from reputable universities.

 

PARTICIPANT
Prospective participants are graduates of graduate with an unlimited field of Electrical Engineering, but in engineering, physics, and mathematics and meet the following academic requirements:
* GPA Bachelor 3.00
* TOEFL ITP 500/iBT 61/IELTS 5.5/TOEIC 405
* TPA Bappenas 475 (not for foreigner)
